LCS Board is composed of seven members. The Board sets policies, oversees the organization's programs, and meets regularly to discuss the organization's activities. The Chair executes Board policies and manages the organization's programs and operations.
LCS is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. LCS goal is to promote and preserve Haitian history, culture, and customs. LCS was founded by seven individuals in May, 2020. The founders came together on a Saturday afternoon, and planted the seeds that have blossomed into this dynamic new organization.
To promote Haitian history, culture, and customs as well as providing an opportunity for networking, through educational and social cultural activities.
L’Ouverture Cultural Society, Inc (LCS) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that is open to anyone interested in Haiti and Haitians. It strives to sustain Haitian culture in the United States by preserving its most valued traditions, customs, and ways of life. Through its activities, it creates an environment where the diverse experiences of its members offer opportunities to foster personal growth and contribute to the well-being of the larger Haitian community.
